IIT BHU Junior Library Superintendent Exam Pattern and Stages of Recruitment
The recruitment process consists of two stages:
- Written Test (Stage-I)
- Skill Test (Stage-II)
Written Test (Stage-I)
- Format: Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Total Questions: 100
- Sections:
- Section A: 60 questions related to Library Science
- Section B: 40 questions from General Knowledge, Aptitude, Current Affairs, General Arithmetic, etc.
- Marking Scheme:
- Correct Answer: +2 marks
- Wrong Answer: -0.5 marks
- Un-attempted Question: 0 marks
- Cut-off: Minimum 40% required to qualify for Stage-II (Skill Test).
- Shortlisting for Stage-II:
- A list of candidates (up to seven times the total number of posts) will be prepared based on performance in the Written Test.
- Candidates securing the same marks as the last shortlisted candidate will also be included.
Skill Test (Stage-II)
- Nature: Qualifying test
- Minimum Score to Qualify: 40%
- Only those who qualify in the Skill Test will be considered for the final selection.
Final Selection Weightage
- Written Test (Stage-I): 40% weightage
- Skill Test (Stage-II): 60% weightage
- A composite merit list will be prepared based on these weights.
Additional Notes
- The Question Booklets and OMR Sheets will be returned from candidates after the exam.
