Assistant Librarian vacancy recruitment at Indian Museum, Kolkata, Ministry of Culture, Govt of India has released the notification as Advertisement No. 02/ 2024 by Direct Recruitment. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the assistant librarian post.

Pay Level and Scale of Pay: Level – 5, (₹29,200 – 92,300/-)
Category: UR (Unreserved)
Maximum Age Limit: 28 years (as of the closing date for receipt of applications). The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per Government of India orders and for highly experienced or qualified candidates based on the Selection Committee’s recommendations.

Educational and Other Qualifications

Essential:
1. Master’s or equivalent Honours degree from a recognized University in Ancient Indian History and Culture, Anthropology, Archaeology, or any other allied subject related to the Museum.
2. Diploma in Library Science.
3. One year’s experience in a Library of good standing.

The last date to receive completed applications is 14th October 2024 (up to 5:00 p.m.).
