Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA (6.5 on a 10-point scale).

- Must have cleared a national-level test such as NET/SLET/SET by UGC or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking, PGDCA, or similar qualification.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. or higher degree in the relevant area.

📑 Selection Process
Assistant Librarian:
- Stage I: Computer-Based Test (CBT) — 100 multiple-choice questions on relevant subjects, 120 minutes, 100 marks.
- Stage II: Interview — shortlisted at a ratio of 1:10 based on CBT performance.
- Final Selection: 70% weightage from CBT + 30% from Interview.
Library & Information Assistant:
- Stage I: CBT — 100 MCQs in 120 minutes:
- Part A: General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, English/Hindi, and Computer Awareness (10 marks each).
- Part B: Questions specific to the discipline (50 marks).
- Stage II: Trade Test (Qualifying; shortlisted at a 1:10 ratio).
- Final Selection: Based on CBT marks for candidates who qualify the Trade Test.
