National Seminar 2024 on National Education Policy 2020 to Viksit Bharat 2047 at Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU) Sasaram, sponsored by ICSSR.

The National Education Policy 2020 is an ambitious reform aimed at transforming India’s education system, making it responsive to the nation’s vision of becoming a developed country by 2047, Viksit Bharat 2047. NEP 2020 has, at its core, holistic education deeply vibrating with critical thinking and creativity. Such a reform plan involves multiple learning, appreciation of various disciplines of knowledge, and engagement with the Indian Knowledge System and values. It is targeted at reducing the gap between traditional and modern education and focuses on skill development, digital literacy, and inclusivity.

The national seminar sponsored by ICSSR, ‘National Education Policy 2020 to Viksit Bharat 2047’ by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Gopal Narayan Singh University, opened up a scenario of tremendous opportunities and challenges before policymakers, educators, and scholars. Discussion through this seminar shall be an important contribution toward the development of a progressive educational landscape as is required to be completed to achieve visionary goals for socio-economic development within the nation by 2047.
