The National Education Policy 2020 is an ambitious reform aimed at transforming India’s education system, making it responsive to the nation’s vision of becoming a developed country by 2047, Viksit Bharat 2047. NEP 2020 has, at its core, holistic education deeply vibrating with critical thinking and creativity. Such a reform plan involves multiple learning, appreciation of various disciplines of knowledge, and engagement with the Indian Knowledge System and values. The national seminar sponsored by ICSSR, ‘National Education Policy 2020 to Viksit Bharat 2047’ by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Gopal Narayan Singh University, opened up a scenario of tremendous opportunities and challenges before policymakers, educators, and scholars.
