Sentiment Analysis of Social Network for Information Professionals: A Case Study of LisLinks Discussion Forum. This study analyzes user sentiments in one of India’s top Library and Information Science forums, LisLinks. Researchers used the RapidMiner tool with a lexicon-based approach to evaluate 10,420 posts and their first five replies, categorizing sentiment as positive, negative, or neutral.

Findings show that 64% of replies were neutral, 32% positive, and 4% negative, suggesting low engagement from members. Sentiment analysis across the replies revealed an increase in neutrality from the first to the fifth reply, indicating a decline in user participation. These insights could help forum administrators improve engagement by better understanding member sentiments.
