The National Library of India in Kolkata is hosting its first-ever film festival, the F5 International Film Festival (F5IFF’24). The event, running from August 2 to August 4, 2024, features 12 films selected from over 150 entries across 139 countries. The festival focuses on themes like heritage conservation, climate change, and environmental degradation. In addition to film screenings, there are panel discussions, cultural programs, and awards aimed at inspiring change and raising awareness about critical global issues​.
