Topics analysis of contents in LIS Lislinks Discussion Forum by Vinay Anand. This study aims to identify key discussion topics within one of the most popular Library and Information Science forums, LisLinks, by analyzing 10,420 posts from 2008 to 2021.
Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling and term frequency analysis, researchers examined prominent topics and patterns in forum discussions. They identified ten specific topics frequently discussed, primarily related to the Indian Library and Information Science field, professional matters, research, journals, and exams.
Topics were categorized to streamline users’ search experience, covering areas like UGC NET exams, seminars, library services, ICT, research, publications, and general discussions. This research supports topic extraction and analysis for future studies in the field.
