Opening of Online Portal for Submission of UGC-NET December 2024 Application Forms for Library and Information Science. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct the UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for:

  1. Award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor.
  2. Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.
  3. Admission to Ph.D. only in Indian universities and colleges.

The NTA will conduct the UGC-NET December 2024 for 85 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, according to the schedule below:

Key Dates and Details:

  • Submission of Online Application Form: 19 November 2024 to 10 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M)
  • Last Date for Submission of Examination Fee: 11 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M) through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI
  • Correction in the Particulars in Online Application Form: 12 December 2024 to 13 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M)
  • Announcement of City of Exam Centre: To be Intimated Later
  • Downloading of Admit Card from NTA Website: To be Intimated Later
  • Date of Examination: 01 January 2025 to 19 January 2025
  • Display of Recorded Responses and Answer Key(s): As indicated on Admit Card, to be announced later on the website

Application Fees:

  • General/Unreserved: Rs. 1150/-
  • General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 325/-
  • Third Gender: Rs. 325/-

Important Instructions:

  1. Candidates can apply for UGC-NET December 2024 only through the online mode via the website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Applications in any other mode will not be accepted.
  2. Candidates are not allowed to fill more than one Application Form.
  3. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA website. Non-compliance will lead to disqualification.
  4. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or those of their parents/guardians, as all communications will be sent by NTA through e-mail or SMS only.
  5. For any difficulty in applying for UGC-NET December 2024, candidates may contact 011-40759000 / 011-69227700 or e-mail at ugcnet@nta.ac.in for clarification.
