Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential Qualifications:
- Option 1: B.Sc. degree or equivalent with a diploma in Library Science from a recognized university.
- Option 2: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Library & Information Service from a recognized university or institute.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in:
- Acquisition of books,
- Handling periodicals,
- Documentation work in a library of standing or repute.
- Computer knowledge with a typing speed of:
- 30 words per minute (WPM) in English, or
- 25 WPM in Hindi.
- Two years of experience in:
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years as of July 1, 2024
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST/OBC: 5 years
- Divyang: 15 years
- Other government employees and ex-servicemen as per UP government rules.

Selection Process
Selection Process: The selection will be done based on the marks obtained in the Common Recruitment Test (CRT). There will be no interview as per “The Uttar Pradesh Direct Recruitment to Junior Level Posts.

- Total Marks: 100
- Subjects:
- 60 marks: Core subject knowledge
- 10 marks each for General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Mathematical Aptitude.
- Negative Marking: 1/3 deduction per incorrect answer.
- Qualifying Marks:
- General/EWS/OBC: 50%
- SC/ST: 45%
- Tie Resolution (if applicable):
- Higher marks in core subjects.
- Fewer incorrect answers.
