1. Library and Information Officer (formerly Documentation-cum-Publication Officer)
- Essential Qualifications: Master’s in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation, with a minimum of 55% marks and proficiency in library computerization. Candidates should have cleared a national-level test in the relevant field (exempt for those with a Ph.D.).
- Total No. of Post: 01 (UR)

- Experience: At least two years in a supervisory role within a reputable library.
- Desirable: Understanding of publication and printing.
2. Senior Library and Information Assistant
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with a Diploma or Certificate in Library and Information Science, or a degree in Library Science.
- Total No. of Post: 02 (UR)
- Eligibility: Government officers or equivalent with either six years of experience in
- Pay Band 1, Grade Pay of ₹2400 or ten years in Grade Pay of ₹1900.
- Pay Matrix: Level 06 (Rs. 35400-112400)
- Age: Not exceeding 35 years
- Direct/ Deputation: Deputation/ Absorption (Ordinarily not exceeding 03 years)
- Experience: Officers from Central or State Government departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies, or Universities under Central or State Governments who:
- (a) Meet one of the following service criteria:
- (i) Hold a similar position regularly;
- OR
- (ii) Have completed 6 years of regular service in Pay Band-1 with a Grade Pay of ₹2400 (equivalent to Level 4 as per the 7th CPC);
- OR
- (iii) Have completed 10 years of regular service in Pay Band-1 with a Grade Pay of ₹1900 (equivalent to Level 2 as per the 7th CPC); AND
- (b) Possess the following qualifications and experience:
- (i) A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or board, with either a Diploma/Certificate in Library and Information Science or equivalent qualifications, OR a degree in Library Science from a recognized university or board.(ii) At least 5 years of experience working in a well-established library.
- Desirable: Knowledge of library computer applications.
3. Library and Information Assistant
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce, along with a Diploma or Certificate in Library and Information Science, or a degree in Library Science.
- Experience: Five years in an established library.
- Total No. of Post: 01 (UR)

- Age: Not exceeding 30 years

- Desirable: Familiarity with computer applications in libraries.
4. Junior Library and Information Assistant (formerly Library Assistant)
- Education: Completion of 12th standard and a Certificate in Library Science.
- Desirable: Proficiency in computer use within a library setting.

5. Junior Library and Information Assistant (formerly Library Clerk)

- Education: 12th standard completion and a Certificate in Library Science.
- Skill: Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer.
