1. Position: Assistant Librarian
Pay Level: Level-10, Rs. 56100-215900

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years (Relaxable for Departmental Candidates by up to five years)
Essential Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 60% marks or an equivalent grade (6.5 on a 10-point scale) and a consistently good academic record.
- Superior knowledge of computerized library services.
- Qualifying in a national-level test such as NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC or any other UGC-approved agency.
Desirable:
- PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
2. Position: Librarian
Pay Level: Level-14, Rs. 144200-218200

Essential Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or at least 60% marks, or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven-point scale.
- Consistently good academic record.
Experience:
- Holding an analogous post, or
- At least 10 years of experience as a Deputy Librarian in a technical university, educational institute of national importance, or a large technical library, with at least 3 years in PB-4 (Rs. 37400-67000) with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700 or in an equivalent position.
- Proven experience (with supporting evidence) in innovative library services and commitment to library computerization.
Desirable:
- Higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline related to Library Science / Information Science / Documentation.
