Job Details
- Name of the Post: Young Library Associates
- Number of Positions: 3
- Nature of Position: Purely temporary, on a contract basis.
- Duration: One year from the date of joining.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification:
- Master’s in Library & Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from recognized Indian universities.
- Must have passed MLIS in 2023 or 2024. Candidates awaiting results (final marksheet) may also apply if available before the interview.
- Candidates who completed MLIS before 2023 are ineligible.
- Desirable: Knowledge of computers.
Responsibilities
The selected candidates will:
- Work on library functions/services using emerging tools and technologies in Library & Information Science.
- Engage in tasks involving knowledge analytics.
- Work six days a week, including different shifts, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
Selection Process
- Written Test, Trade Test, and Personal Interview may be conducted based on circumstances.
- The institute reserves the right to restrict interview candidates by setting higher qualifications.
- No TA/DA for appearing in the selection process.
Remuneration
- Consolidated stipend of ₹25,000/- per month.
Additional Details
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (as of the last date of advertisement).
- Leave: 8 days of casual leave annually.
