General Information

• Online applications are invited from Indian nationals for filling the posts of Guest Faculty in various departments of North-Eastern Hill University for both campuses (Shillong and Tura) in Meghalaya.
• The university website (www.nehu.ac.in) contains details and the application process. Applications can be submitted online via the recruitment portal (recruitment.nehu.ac.in).
• Last date for applying: 16th September 2024.

Other Terms and Conditions:

1. Temporary Appointment:
   • The selection of Guest Faculty is purely on a temporary basis.
   • The appointment is valid for the current semester or until a regular faculty member joins, whichever is earlier.
2. Remuneration:
   • The pay is set at ₹1500 per lecture with a maximum monthly limit of ₹50,000 (terms and conditions apply).
   • No additional emoluments, allowances, or medical reimbursements are provided.
   • No vacation salary is granted.
   • Guest or part-time faculty are not entitled to pension, gratuity, etc.
3. Interview Date and Time:
   • The concerned department will notify candidates about the date and time of the interview. This will be done preferably by 17th September 2024.
4. Application Deadline:
   • No applications will be accepted after the last mentioned date and time.
5. Eligibility Criteria:
   • Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as per UGC Regulations 2018 or AICTE latest regulations and any subsequent guidelines/notifications.
6. Interview Selection:
   • Merely meeting the essential qualifications does not guarantee an interview call.
   • The university reserves the right to limit the number of candidates called for an interview.
7. No TA/DA:
   • No travel or dearness allowance will be paid to candidates attending the interview.
8. External Candidates:
   • Interviews for external candidates will be conducted online.
