Educational Qualifications and Requirements:
- Essential Qualification:
- A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- A consistently good academic record with knowledge of library computerization.
- Qualified in the National Level Test conducted by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
- Ph.D. Exemption:
- Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, are exempt from the NET requirement for recruitment.
- Further exemption criteria apply to candidates who registered for M.Phil./Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009.
