The KVS Librarian 2025 Recruitment 2025. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is expected to release its official recruitment notification for various positions, including librarians, in February 2025. The recruitment process will offer positions such as Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Primary Teacher (PRT), librarians, principals, and more across its numerous schools nationwide.

KVS Librarian Vacancy Details

  1. Eligibility: Candidates applying for the librarian position should have a Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B. LIS) educational qualifications.
  2. Application Process: The application process will be conducted online through the official KVS website (kvsangathan.nic.in). Applications are expected to start in March 2025, with tentative deadlines also set for March 2025. Candidates must prepare necessary documents like educational certificates, identity proof, and recent photos.
  3. Exam Pattern: The recruitment examination is a three-hour online test, comprising 180 objective-type questions. The syllabus covers general English and Hindi, general knowledge, current affairs, reasoning, computer proficiency, and subject-specific knowledge.
  4. Application Fee: The fee for applying as a librarian is expected to be ₹1,500.
  5. Selection Process: Candidates will go through a written exam, with shortlisted candidates moving forward to an interview and document verification phase.

KVS Librarian Syllabus

The KVS Librarian exam syllabus covers four main areas:

  1. General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This section tests awareness of books and authors, important national and international days, awards, notable events, science and technology, sports, and key organizations.
  2. Reasoning and General Intelligence: Key topics include analogies, series, coding-decoding, blood relations, ranking, non-verbal reasoning, and logical reasoning.
  3. Computer Literacy: Focus areas include MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer organization concepts (like RAM and ROM), input devices, the relationship between hardware and software, digital signatures, and IT applications in e-governance​.
  4. Library and Information Science (Subject Knowledge): This critical section assesses foundational knowledge in library science, covering areas like cataloging, classification, information sources and services, digital libraries, library automation, and database management.
