Opening of Online Portal for Submission of UGC-NET December 2024 Application Forms for Library and Information Science. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct the UGC-NET, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for:
- Award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor.
- Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.
- Admission to Ph.D. only in Indian universities and colleges.
The NTA will conduct the UGC-NET December 2024 for 85 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, according to the schedule below:
Key Dates and Details:
- Submission of Online Application Form: 19 November 2024 to 10 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M)
- Last Date for Submission of Examination Fee: 11 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M) through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI
- Correction in the Particulars in Online Application Form: 12 December 2024 to 13 December 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M)
- Announcement of City of Exam Centre: To be Intimated Later
- Downloading of Admit Card from NTA Website: To be Intimated Later
- Date of Examination: 01 January 2025 to 19 January 2025
- Display of Recorded Responses and Answer Key(s): As indicated on Admit Card, to be announced later on the website
Application Fees:
- General/Unreserved: Rs. 1150/-
- General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 600/-
- SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 325/-
- Third Gender: Rs. 325/-
Important Instructions:
- Candidates can apply for UGC-NET December 2024 only through the online mode via the website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Applications in any other mode will not be accepted.
- Candidates are not allowed to fill more than one Application Form.
- Candidates must strictly follow the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA website. Non-compliance will lead to disqualification.
- Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or those of their parents/guardians, as all communications will be sent by NTA through e-mail or SMS only.
